The National website for the United Methodist Men organization exists to assist the men's ministry programs nationwide. Camp Aldersgate provides programs for senior citizens and children and youth who have conditions such as cancer, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, cerebral palsy, diabetes, arthritis, asthma, epilepsy, kidney disorders, autism, Down's syndrome, and mental retardation. Founded by the United Methodist Women, the camp programs are open to people of all faiths.

Camp Tanako, which is located near Hot Springs, Arkansas, on Lake Catherine, provides programs that give children, youth and adults unique experiences that shape and expand Christian commitment. Campers will grow in faith through small group discussion, music, drama, arts & crafts, recreation, and worship. The website for this Arkansas Conference United Methodist Camp includes camp dates, activities, map and directions, as well as answers to frequently asked questions by campers.

The Centers for Youth and Families provides an extensive continuum of mental health care for children ages 3-20 along with prevention services and a wide variety of resources for parents. Outpatient clinics in Little Rock and Jacksonville provide treatment services for children and youth who are experiencing emotional or behavioral problems. Clients can receive individual, family and group therapies as well as psychiatric consultation, evaluation and medication management. The Emergency Shelter provides immediate temporary shelter to youth in crisis age 8 - 18. The shelter provides a stable environment as well as safety and compassionate support for youth who are in state custody or are considered homeless or runaways.

LifeQuest of Arkansas provides opportunities for lifelong learning and community service, emphasizing quality of life and an independent lifestyle. Founded in 1981, LifeQuest is a volunteer-based, interfaith non-profit established by and for active adults. Highland Valley is one of many participating congregations to help fund LifeQuest. Heifer's mission is to end hunger and poverty while caring for the earth. For more than 60 years, Heifer International has provided livestock and environmentally sound agricultural training to improve the lives of those who struggle daily for reliable sources of food and income. Since 1944 it has helped 38 million people through training in livestock development and livestock gifts that multiply. Every gift of an animal provides benefits such as milk, eggs, wool and fertilizer, increasing family incomes for better housing, nutrition, health care, etc. Recipients "Pass on the Gift" of offspring of their livestock to others in an ever-widening circle of hope.
Interfaith Hospitality Network www.nihn.org
The mission of the Interfaith Hospitality Network is to help low-income families achieve lasting independence and to redress the underlying causes of poverty and homelessness. IHN is a program area of Family Promise, a national program founded on the belief that Americans are compassionate people who want to make a difference. IHNs nationwide provide shelter, meals, and comprehensive support services to homeless families. Highland Valley is a host church for the IHN in Central Arkansas, providing housing for a week at a time to families designated by the IHN in need of assistance.
