Vacation Bible School
Vacation Bible School is an exciting fun-filled summer opportunity for children ages 3 through 5 th grade. Children participate in this vital part of Highland Valley 's Christian education program through worship, recreation, crafts, and classroom activities. Adult and youth volunteers are invited to assist in various ways during the week of VBS.
Annual Easter Egg Hunt & Family Picnic
Highland Valley United Methodist Church hosts a Churchwide and Community Easter Egg Hunt and Cookout on the Highland Valley campus each year. Families are invited to enjoy a picnic lunch, prizes, games, crafts, and lots of candy-filled eggs.
Highland Valley General Store
Created in 2005, the "Highland Valley General Store" allows children to earn points through their participation in various Highland Valley UMC programs (Sunday School, Kids Club, Youth Club, Children's Choir, etc). Located in the Family Life Center , HVGS is stocked with puzzles, small toys, stickers, tattoos, and other items. One Sunday morning a month, the store is open for the children to come and "spend" the points that they have accumulated for their choice of prizes.
Christmas Pageant
Each year in December, the Children's and Youth Ministries programs at Highland Valley present a dinner theatre of Christmas-themed music, skits, and lessons.
Scouting Programs
The Scouting program at Highland Valley provides opportunities and guidance for children and youth to develop physically, mentally, socially, morally and spiritually, building character and fostering good citizenship while having a safe and fun time. The church currently serves as host to several troops of Girl Scouts, Brownies, Cub Scouts,and Boy Scouts.
Camp Tanako
The UMC Little Rock Conference Camping Program is offered at Camp Tanako, near Hot Springs, where a vast offering of camps are available for ages Kindergarten through Senior Citizens! Some camps are thematic, such as Children's Choir Camp, Fishing Camp, Music, Art, and Drama Camp, while others are curriculum camps for specific age levels. Camping brochures are available through the office of the Children's Ministries Director.

UPWARD BASKETBALL AND CHEERLEADING
A Christian-based basketball and cheerleading league for children ages Kindergarten through 6th grade with a goal of showing kids and adults the way to Jesus Christ. Volunteers needed for referees, coaches, cheerleader sponsors and league commissioners.
