Giving
Welcome to Highland Valley Stewardship!
Throughout Scripture, we are reminded of the importance of giving back a portion of what God has so generously provided. His Word tells us that giving is an act of worship that should be done with a spirit of thanksgiving. Thousands of years later, our consumer-driven culture tells us that acquiring "things" is of paramount importance. But the truth of God's Word hasn't changed - He still calls us to give to others and to the work of His church.
The Bible is filled with examples of grateful response to God's generous gifts. The Bible also teaches about responsibility to share with others and warns against selfishness and misuse of God's economic resources.
" Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work." 2 Corinthians 9:7b-8
A glance at this website provides a bird's eye view of the many ways in which the ministries of this church extend God's love to thousands of persons each year. These ministries are possible because the members of Highland Valley are faithful stewards of all that God has given them. The result is a congregation that is a strong and effective instrument in God's hands.
