Kids are at HOME at Highland Valley!
                                                          Children's Ministries

Highland Valley United Methodist Church, located in West Little Rock, places a high priority on ministering to families and children. An ideal situation would be that when a child begins a church program that he/she would continue to grow in mind, body, and spirit and continue advancing through all programming offered all the way to adulthood. Our goal is to make your children excited about coming to Highland Valley UMC and look forward to the next phase of their life, whether it is advancing to an older Sunday School Class, being a part of adult church, or even moving to Youth Group.

Children are a gift from God and should be treasured! Here at Highland Valley United Methodist Church children SPARKLE!

The many programs offered here at Highland Valley UMC for children include Sunday School morning classes, ages 2 through 6th grade, in the Education Building from 10:00-10:50, Children’s Church following the Children’s Moments during the 11:00 worship service for children through first grade, BLAST, the new and improved children’s program which is on Sunday afternoons from 4:00-5:30, and Vacation Bible School which is usually held in June.

There is also extra programming for children and families sprinkled throughout the year such as trips to places like The Pumpkin Patch or Zoo, Bible Boot Camp at Camp Tanako in Hot Springs, a Halloween Carnival with a Pet Costume Show, Family Fun programs such as Family Funanza- It’s a commUNITY thing!, Christmas caroling to homebound friends and neighbors, a community Easter Egg hunt and festival, and a Tea Party/Fashion Show in the Spring. The children will learn about giving and helping others as we do projects to raise money and supplies for agencies such as The Food Pantry, Pulaski County Humane Society, CARE, several local nursing homes, Rice Depot and the Haiti Relief effort, and schools from both the Little Rock School District and Pulaski County Special School District.
