Foundations of Confirmation


Foundations of Confirmation include:


  • Understanding our faith heritage: Jewish, Catholic, Episcopal and Methodist

  • Practicing the Christian faith, including: worship, prayer, the Bible, Christian ethics and outreach into the world.

  • Learning the basic beliefs of the Christian faith, including: God: creation, sin, salvation, we have in Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit.

  • Participating in authentic Christian fellowship and community through large group and small group experiences.

  • Experiencing intentional spiritual formation through all aspects of the program.

  • Memorizing the Confirmation scripture 1 Corinthians 16:13-14: Keep alert, stand firm in your faith, be courageous, be strong. Let all that you do be done in love.

  • Preparing to responsibly answer Jesus' call to discipleship
