ADOPT-A-STREET
HVUMC partners with the city of Little Rock to clean up the 1 mile stretch of Chenal Parkway between Kanis and Loyola up to 6 times a year.

COMMUNITY GARDEN
HVUMC has a community garden that provides fresh produce to friends and neighbors in our community through our HVUMC Food Ministry. This garden also provides educational opportunities for our HVUMC youth and children as they participate in planting, pruning, and harvesting the fresh produce. Anyone can be a HVUMC gardener.

HVUMC provides and serves a free community meal before The JOURNEY worship service on Wednesday nights. Support this ministry by donating financially, or helping with meal prep, serving, or clean up.

DIRTY HANDS
HVUMC team travels to AR Foodbank where they gather and distribute grocery bags to homebound senior citizens.

HOMEBOUND FRIENDS
Our Homebound Team stays connected to members who worship from home by delivering Holy Communion monthly, sending cards, notes, and spending time with them.

Comprised of the 200,000 Reasons Backpack Ministry and HVUMC Food Pantry, you may support these ministries by donating groceries, making a financial donation, packing, sorting (Wednesdays from 11am-2pm), and distributing food bags (Wednesdays from 3-6pm). Nickole Ellis - [email protected]
INFANT CARE MINISTRY (ICM)
ICM partners with more than 10 agencies to provide baskets of infant items (newborn-6mos.) to new mothers. Support this team through financial donations, shopping for items, or sorting/filling baskets for distribution. Margie Northcutt - [email protected]
OUR HOUSE
HVUMC supports the transitional housing community of Our House by providing meals. Sunday School classes, small groups, and individuals can help provide and serve a meal to 80+ residents.

HVUMC hosts several scouting groups, a ministry which provides essential life skills to young people and empowers them to serve the community in many ways.

THE CALL
HVUMC participates in The Call ministry efforts by serving as Bedside Angels, babysitting, preparing and providing meals to foster/adoptive parents, praying, and fundraising. This mission provides all with an opportunity to care and provide a hope for children in foster care in Arkansas.

WATSON ELEMENTARY SCHOOL
HVUMC has been a Partner in Education with Watson Elementary for over 12 years. Our Watson Team supports Watson by providing new uniforms, Christmas gifts, books, and many other needed items for each of the 500+ students who attend the school.

UNITED WOMEN IN FAITH (formerly United Methodist Women)
HVUMC's unit of Women United in Faith meet collectively and in small groups as a community of women whose purpose is to know God, create a supportive fellowship, and participate in the global missions of the church.

PRAYER SHAWL MINISTRY
Our Prayer Shawl Ministry Team supports the congregation and community by knitting, crocheting, and sewing prayer shawls and baptismal blankets. Each shawl and blanket is crafted in prayer and blessed by one of the pastors.
